ROACCUTANE CLINIC FOR TREATMENT OF SEVERE ACNE
Dr. Ed Naughten prescribes isotretinoin (also known as Roaccutane) for the treatment of severe acne in patients aged 16 years and over. It can work very well to clear the skin when other treatments have failed. Most people use it for a minimum of 6 months. It is only prescribed in general practice by GPs who have advanced training in dermatology. Ed has completed a postgraduate diploma in dermatology from Cardiff University. The treatment requires monthly consultations and regular blood tests to monitor for any side-effects, but most patients are delighted with the treatment results.
Initial consultation is €150 with follow-up consultations costing €100. Blood tests will cost €40 when required.
